Eat to live (or die). thedavidsonienneatgmaildotcom |
I’m pleased to report that it’s the first day of October and I do not yet have seasonal affective (effective? ha) disorder.
This could be due to several reasons:
a) My Whole Foods visit on Sunday caused me to impulse-buy squash and apples. I realize this is not a normal behavior for others, but as for me, I am about to become obsessive about root vegetables and squashes and other things that are harvested in the fall. My newly replaced blender parts have arrived and I am waiting for the cold Sunday when I whip up a batch of parsnip soup! Fall cuisine is just so earthy and comforting.
b) PUMPKINS ARE COMING
c) My muffuletta sandwich experiment turned out to be a real winner. Yes, mine is as beautiful as that picture there. I used a rosemary sourdough boule. Mmm. Funny, though, that the recipe informs you to hollow out the bread in the bottom to fit the olive salad. “Doing so also cuts carbs and calories.” Except when you EAT THE BREAD that you remove! Haha. What, am I supposed to throw it away? Additionally, may we please change the spelling from muff U letta to muff A letta? Thank you.
d) BIG FAT PUMPKINS
e) I’m going to an autumn wedding on Saturday! I hope it will be harvest-themed (the reception is in an apple barn - I may die of rustic cuteness).
f) LET US REJOICE AND MAKE PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!
